Silhouette limbs linger ~ reluctant to relinquish ~ luminous horizon

Star-pierced silence ~ on fluid velvet wings ~ spreading westward

Darkness’ talons ~ rake fervent fingers ~ from white ashes

Driving home today after chores in town,
I stopped at the lookout,
like I look at the horses (you know the ones),

Such a glorious day winter solstice.
Full of cheerful memories.
Feast laden table,

It made me cry,
I hoped it had died,
dried up,
gone far away.

But it hasn’t.

The wounds of your coming
left open
by your leaving.

So far
she was content to listen.
she wants to show herself in the full beauty of her terrifying form
to speak out.

Wants to stand naked in wind and rain,
in a dizzying dance under a million stars,
bathe in blood and sweat,

That is why
you do not sing
or laugh,
terrified as you are she might join with you.

She wavers,
trembling hand
blindly searching for yours.

Out of primordial darkness her lips brush your face
whisper your true name.

The one you refuse to say.

Feathers and fur cover your skin
you pull them off

to appear human.

war sie zufrieden zuzuhören.
will sie sich zeigen in der vollen Schönheit ihrer furchterregenden Form
um zu sprechen.

Will nackt in Wind und Regen stehen,

Grateful thanks to Miriam McDonald for her expert criticism and mentorfriendship.

… pure, wholesome and organic,

… heartfelt, genuine, authentic,

… unpretentious, truthful, candid,

… profound, sincere and spirited,

… passionate, intense, capricious,

… abundant, generous and lavish.

Nature is

… the sun,

the tree,

you and me.

Another winter on its way
Another year spent waiting
Ahead long nights, cold days
More lonely morning wakings

Promise of new life lies ahead
When spring returns in time
Hoping the wait may end
Once winter turns again

And so the years pass by
While nothing really changes
My dreams turn into memories
And fade in summer’s hazes

One day even the children leave
To search for lives of happiness
While I will watch them knowingly
With gladness and regrets…
